1839 Centre for Historic Photography Processes is pleased to introduce the Silver Gelatin Dry plates. These light-sensitive glass plates are prepared in a way that they were commercially available in the 1870s. Dry plate is a glass plate coated with light-sensitive photo emulsion, dried for photographers to expose in their camera.
The advantage of these plates is that their grains are fine as compared to commercially available film. Dry plates provide an artist to revisit the aesthetics of 19th century photography and a window back in time. In the box you will receive 10 glass plates, the easy to follow the instructions for developing these plates. Silver Gelatin Dry Plates are made to order in batch of 10 plates and are checked to ensure quality.
